Like most beaders, half of the fun for me is searching the world for the perfect bead. I have been doing this for over 15 years, and I can never predict what treasure will end up in a necklace. I mix whatever gives the look I want, semiprecious beads, natural shell, wood, ceramic, contemporary glass, and vintage glass. Sometimes a necklace is exclusively made from the newest exciting delivery from the web, sometimes I am hunting in my stores for hours for the exact bead.

All earrings are shown with earwires. I have comfortable screw-ons if you want, and will change any pair at your request. The earwires are hypoallergenic. The goldtone are goldplate on surgical stainless steel. The silvertone are surgical stainless steel or titanium. Unfortunately, I haven’t found a screw-on I think is comforable that is hypoallergenic. But I’m looking, and if you have one, let me know the brand and I’ll make you earrings as a thank you.

I am an oldfashioned beader when it comes to stringing necklaces. I use pearling silk, not beading wire. I prefer the drape that it gives a necklace, and in fifteen years only three have had the string break, so I’m confident that the silk is good for normal use. If you are the unlucky fourth, I will restring for you.

The jewelry is made in my smoke free ‘studio’. It isn’t exactly a studio. I create my jewelry at the same desk I write my science fiction and poetry at. Beside me is the computer I use for my digital art, and I work looking out at the garden.
