1) Zazzle: Why did you choose Zazzle for your stores?
We chose to deal with Zazzle because of their excellent international reputation, and the fact that many big name brands have made the same choice for their merchandizing. These brands include Hallmark, Disney, Star Wars, Marvel, and Harry Potter to name a few. Zazzle is the only on-demand retail platform to offer billions of products, many of which are produced within 24 hours.
Also, Zazzle lets us put our designs on top-of-the-line brands, whether it’s Keds sneakers, Avery binders, American Apparel tops, etc.
Of course, we checked it out ourselves first - we have tested a wide range of their products from art prints to coffee mugs, and the printing and service have exceeded our expectations.
2) Zazzle: What is their shipping like?
On most products Zazzle ships in 24 hours. The exceptions are a few products like Keds sneakers where assembly is required, and dark apparel which is printed on separate equipment. Allow a little extra time in the busy seasons like Christmas or Valentine’s Day.
We have Zazzle stores in 17 countries, so you can choose the most convenient to ship to you.
3) Zazzle: What is their return policy?
Zazzle has a full 30 day exchange or refund return policy. To quote their website: “If you don't love it we'll take it back. We want you to love your creation. If you are not satisfied for any reason with the final product, you may return your purchase for a replacement or refund within 30 days of receipt.”
In cases of damage or defect, the return process can often be expedited by providing a digital image of the damage or defect (along with a clear description of the problem) in an email to their customer support team. In many cases, action (in the form of reprint or refund) can be taken as soon as substantiation of the claim has been provided by the customer.
If the damage / defect cannot be verified over the phone or via email contact, the item may be required to return to Zazzle for inspection before a determination can be made as to the state of the product.
Note: Keds shoes are an exception. As they are custom-made, returns are not allowed.
4) Zazzle: Is Zazzle Secure?
The Zazzle Secure Shopping Guarantee: “Your credit card transactions with us are 100% safe. Period. Our secure server software (SSL) is the e-commerce industry standard and encrypts all payment information when you make a purchase. This means no one will ever gain access to your private information.”
4) Spoonflower: Why did you choose Spoonflower to produce your fabric?
Spoonflower provides full service digital printing, including handling the shopping cart and shipping directly so your orders are not delayed by first being shipped to Canada, repackaged, and reshipped. They use the most Green possible printing methods, all natural fibres, and when possible organic fabric. They print with what are called pigment dyes, and these give soft rich colors.
We have done extensive testing - each design is test printed before release to the market. We have also tested the use of each fabric in our own use, and the results and recommendations are on this site.
5) Spoonflower: What is their shipping like?
Spoonflower is U.S. based in North Carolina and ships internationally. They have three levels of order processing:
- routine: They can usually print and ship any fabric order in two weeks but this can stretch to 4 weeks.
- guaranteed delivery date: This costs an extra fee in the range of $10.00 and the date is provided at checkout, usually 7 to 10 working days. We recommend this for non US customers as FedEx is used so your order is not slowed down at a border.
- 24 hour express printing: with FedEx express shipping for a reasonable fee quoted by the weight of your order.
6) Spoonflower: What is their return policy?
To minimize the need for returns on color matching, please use their inexpensive swatching service.
Their printing quality is excellent, but they provide full support on any problems should one occur and will reprint and replace your fabric. The process is to contact their help desk who will instruct you to return the fabric indicating the problem.
